volunteering opportunities
♦ To assist in the Community Garden
-The skills desired – Do you have a green thumb? Do you like being outdoors? Can you work alone or in a team? Our community garden needs some love and care.
♦ To assist with the monthly community lunch (the first Thursday and Friday of each month)
– The skills desired – Can you help cook, undertake kitchen duties, help host the lunch, or communicate in a friendly manner?
♦ To assist with the “Be Connected” program helping Seniors to use their mobile devices or laptops (Thursday mornings 10.00 am-Noon or Fridays afternoons 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm)
– The skills desired – Can you communicate effectively with older people, confidently use your own laptop or mobile device, and are you willing to share your knowledge?
♦ To assist with the “Chatty Cafe” at Cobram Community House
– The skills desired- Can you communicate, organize or help promote events?
Are you chatty, friendly and tolerant of other peoples ideas? If so, you might be just the right person for our “Chatty Cafe”.
♦ To assist on Christmas Day at “Doug’s Christmas Day Lunch”.
The skills desired – Can you communicate, help host a function, help with kitchen duties, or help with the venue setup?
