- This course is suitable for learners with an understanding of and desire to work in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector with good communication skills and a willingness to engage with and be involved with children. The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is delivered over one year. Delivery is via a combination of face-to-face and virtual classrooms. There is a requirement for students to complete 120 hours of practical placement. Students who choose Kindergarten/Pre-School settings will need to complete a minimum of 30 hours in an infant/toddler setting as part of the 120 hours.Hours of attendance in class can be flexible if working in the industry. Additional home-based study will be required. Learners will be required to hold or obtain a current Working with Children Check.

Note: Students not holding a current First Aid Certificate will be required to obtain this prior to the conclusion of their studies. The cost of this is in addition to that of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
This training is delivered to eligible individuals with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding.
Due to requirements associated with working in the industry, students undertaking the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will be required to obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check to enable participation in the practical placement component of the course.
