Room Hire

We have training rooms available for hire that can accommodate groups of up to 30.

We can set up a small function room and provide tea and coffee facilities. Catering can be arranged.

Our dedicated IT room is equipped with 10 computers or laptops and a scanner and printers are available.

We can also provide private rooms for interviews or just a quiet place to work undisturbed.

Wi-Fi access can be arranged.

Internet Access

Our computer kiosk is available during opening hours 10.00am - 3.00pm.

A small charge applies.

For older people this is a FREE service to give them a means to get online.

The "Be Connected" program is an opportunity for older people to become more competent and confident in using digital technology.

The "Be Connected" program is run on a Thursday morning from 10.00am - Noon. The sessions include face to face learning opportunities and also access to the "Be Connected" website.

The "Be Connected" website has free tutorials and webinars to help you with your learning. 

 

Department of Housing Agency Service

Services provided:

  • Housing forms availabe
  • Forms accepted and held for collection by Department Representative
  • Housing Keys - drop off and collection

Deptartment of Housing no longer visit on a weekly basis.

Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support

Department of Human Services Agents

Agents are organisations in your community that have been trained to help you to access Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support services. Agent services in your community are provided by:

Cobram Community House

Opening times:     Monday to Friday – 10.00am – 3.00pm

Agents:  

  • have an internet enabled computer and will help customers access digital services
  • provide a Medicare phone claiming service and reply paid envelopes to forward receipts to support claims
  • have free telephone, fax and photocopy facilities
  • can copy and certify identity confirmation documents so that original documents do not have to be sent in the mail to support claims
  • provide face to face assistance, guidance and referrals and access to information brochures and forms.

Agents are not departmental staff and cannot:

  • make any payments or decisions about payments
  • review, assess or vary payments
  • issue Electronic Banking Transfers, Basics Cards, Medicare Cards or Health Care Cards.
